Connie Bowers, EDRC
I was born and raised in Portland Oregon. After university, I had spent some time considering what I would like to do “when I grow up.” Educating and helping people have always been top priorities for me. It was not until I was recovering from my own eating disorder that I learned about recovery coaches and suddenly everything clicked into place. Soon after, I enrolled and completed an Eating Disorder Recovery Coach program.
I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Oregon. I am educated as an EDRC through Carolyn Costin Institute and I maintain my good standing with continuing education credits through the CCI program.
In an effort to expand the ways I can help others, I continue to educate myself on the ever changing field of eating disorder recovery through seminars, personal research as well as formal education. I am also passionate about being a fat positive advocate and learning to help those in marginalized bodies feel more accepted and seen in the world.
When I am not working with clients I enjoy reading, dancing, watching movies, and spending far too much time on tiktok.
